It is with great sadness that one of our former long term employees has passed away. Bill Isaacs died last night in Nashville after a short illness. Bill had a lifelong career in the music business starting as a teenager by getting a ride with his mother, buying and selling records in the New York area. Bill enjoyed a lengthy employment with K-Tel Records, located in both Minnesota and Los Angeles. After a stint with MCA, Bill moved to Nashville and worked for Tree International. Later after coming on board at Malaco, Bill opened the first Malaco offices in Nashville where he worked in our music publishing and was in charge of the company’s Special Projects Department. Bill possessed an unmatched encyclopedic knowledge of the music industry, including artist’s names, song titles, release dates, and record labels going back into the ’50s. Bill is survived by two brothers. At this time services have not been scheduled
