“The Last Soul Company”

Jerry Puckett Has Passed Away

We are sad to announce that we have lost one of the original members of our first rhythm sections.  Jerry Puckett was responsible for putting together our first group of guys that played on so many of our earlier hit records. In forming our original group, Jerry, who was a great guitar player. brought in Verny Robbins on bass, Carson Whitsett on keyboards and James Stroud on drums.  We lost both Carson and Vernie a few years ago.  James is still with us and went on to become one of the top producers in Nashville.
