The Malaco family is sad to report that one of our early engineers, James Griffin, passed away suddenly last night, Tuesday, July 23 here in Jackson. James started working as a recording engineer at Malaco in 1978. James worked on numerous projects from the Anita Ward “Ring My Bell” album to many of our award-winning Gospel sessions. After leaving Malaco he opened his own business, specializing in forensic audio and video services and was a recognized, highly respected expert in that field. Arrangements are incomplete at this time.
