Marcos is a South Texas–born, Mississippi-rooted songwriter carving Americana from the wreckage of rock and roll. He first made his mark as the frontman of Sally Jayne, releasing the full-length album Remember Me in 2010 and lighting up stages alongside acts like 3 Doors Down, Halestorm, and Theory of a Deadman. Known for loud guitars, ‘all-in’ performances, and lyrics that never flinched, Marcos built his reputation the hard way: one show at a time.
Now signed with Old Trace Records / Malaco Music Group, Marcos has stripped it all back. The volume gave way to truth. What remains is a weathered voice, a sharp pen, and songs shaped by lived experience, love and loss, faith and doubt, fatherhood and redemption. His recent singles carry a raw Southern ache, earning comparisons to Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger, not for imitation, but for honesty.
This is Americana forged, not polished. Music born on dark roads, built from hard lessons and quiet victories. With one foot in tradition and the other in survival, Marcos is stepping into a new chapter at Malaco, where grit meets grace, and every lyric cuts deep.
